AYEDATIWA’S ACHIEVEMENTS SWALLOW PDP’S RHETORICS - APC

The APC in Ondo state has taken a swipe at the opposition party in the state, the PDP, over what it called “baseless and misleading” allegations. In a statement released from the office of its Director of Media and Publicity Mr. Steve Otaloro, the party berated the PDP for false claims and accusations which are not only unfounded but also preposterous! “We will not engage in responding to every false claim as it is imperative (for us) to focus on issue based campaign messages” the message reads. The Ondo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had accused Governor Ayedatiwa of insensitivity on the plight of the people with frivolous spending, castigating him for the approval of N1.5 billion to N2 billion for renovating and fencing the government house, prioritizing this project over more pressing state needs but the governor has responded by stating that the renovation and fencing are necessary for security and infrastructure upgrade, saying; the project's cost is justified, considering the government house's strategic importance. Mr. otaloro in his release dismissed the allegations with a wave of hand saying “The approvals mentioned are part of the administration’s efforts to improve infrastructure and enhance governance, the renovation will ultimately benefit the State’s economy and citizens.” He also urged the public to “disregard these false accusations and focus on verifiable facts.” APC, the statement said, will emerge victorious in the coming gubernatorial election; the reality of this fact is the reason the PDP is iron bent in tarnishing the image and the good reputation of the party and its flag bearer. “The people of Ondo State believe in his (Ayedatiwa) leadership and want continuity for the State to keep growing…His dedication to the state’s progress and the people’s well-being is unwavering. We cannot be distracted by the PDP’s meritless allegations.” The statement read in part.
